UMCOR's mission is to alleviate human suffering—whether caused by war, conflict, or natural disaster—with open minds and hearts to all people.
OGHS: One Great Hour of Sharing
Since 1940, the UMCOR has responded "to the vast needs of human suffering worldwide," and acted as a "voice of conscience among Methodists." One Sunday each year, funds are collected to underwrite operating costs; this is the point of the One Great Hour of Sharing.
